1. Deacons (Elders) assist the Pastor in:

a. Spiritual care of members, friends, and visitors to OSLC.
b. Scheduling of worship services, communion distribution, baptisms, Scripture readers, ushers, greeters and other worship related matters.

2. They prayerfully consider member complaints and grievances.

3. They comply with Matthew 18:15-20 in disciplinary matters.

4. They review the Constitution and Bylaws at least once every three years to determine any need for change or update.

5. They recognize and thank volunteers.

Additionally, the Deacons are responsible for the following:

  1. Health Committee & Angel Program
  2. Prayer Chain – Include the current prayer chain and keep up-to-date.
  3. Organist
  4. Sunday School Teachers
