Surprise!

Cookbook test area:

Note: When the recipe windows "pop-up", you will note that the normal "Window" menu bar is available at the window top. This will let you select the "Print" option under "File" to print out individual recipes. At this time, this popup is not available for the search results. Later!

A search for more than one word will find pages that contain all of the words. Use quotation marks to search for a phrase. Also use quotes for text with punctuation or special characters.

There is very little here yet and it is in trial form. There will be a cookbook only, search capability. You may test it with the search box provided above.

The search function is rough...it will get smoothed out. The search does not just search the title, it also searches all words in the recipes. Example, if someone put the words "heart healthy" in their recipe card, all recipes with that in them would turn up in a search for "heart and healthy". Fortunately, the search engine does not understand the word "calorie".

There is no real OLSC cookbook yet... As soon as all you wonderful cooks send in your recipes I will produce one online and you will be able to print out recipes at home. Assuming of course that you have a printer <G>. If you have a picture of the finished dish, send that too.

I would propose the following as starting point ideas:

  1. Recipes be from dishes we have shared at suppers or some other shared dinners.
  2. Recipes include a photo of the finished dish (nice but not necessary - Note...the WebMouse will be happy to accept finished dishes and photograph the remains. Especially cookies!)
  3. One goal would be to be able to print out a recipe book of selected recipes in the form factor of our church phone book.
  4. Since the recipe list is "searchable", recommendations such as Heart Healthy, Lactose Free, or ????? could be added as keywords in the recipe list in a comment area.

Please feel free to suggest other ideas for a church cookbook.

If you have any questions, contact the WebMouse with the following form. I will send you information about how to send recipe information to me. I will add your suggestions to the above list for consideration.

OR... if you are so inclined. Use the public "Comment" area at the bottom of the page.

Your comments will appear in this form. I am serious about being willing to take pictures for you of your finished dishes and will even wash the empty dish for you before I return it!
